Ankobia, a founding member of Chocolate Bella, is a fashion enthusiast who’s passion for fashion is being honed while she pursues her Bachelor of Science in Apparel Merchandising as a sophomore at Indiana University Bloomington.
When asked about her experience at IU and how it relates to her new company, Ultra Lux Apparel
she replied, “My love and eye for fashion has been strengthened by the global view of fashion I have obtained through IU courses and my membership in the Retail Studies Organization. I no longer look at fashion from a limited personal perspective. I have a more diverse look at the industry and I understand the science behind price points, style choices, etc. I am equipped to help women make great fashion choices.” Being immersed in the fashion industry at IU has given Ankobia the opportunity to participate in the Indiana University Bloomington Annual Senior Spring Fashion Show. This annual event gives fashion design students an opportunity to showcase their designs. The show attracts an international audience and hosts fashion industry executives who come to scout new talent. Ankobia’s participation as a model offered her the opportunity to view the fashion industry from yet another perspective…the runway!
